Luca MARTINI

Luca MARTINI

Luca is an artist whose degree in industrial design influences practice, blending artisanal modernity with cultural and mathematical inspirations. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, into a family specializing in woodworking, he developed an affinity for various materials such as wood, plastic, concrete, and metal. His versatility across different mediums results in works that combine technical precision and aesthetics, inspired by astronomy, the Fibonacci sequence, the interplay of light and movement, as well as Vedic monuments from India and pre-Columbian structures.

Represented by Lado D Gallery in Buenos Aires, Luca has exhibited at Feria Puro Diseño (2023), MBL Studio (Paraguay 1858 & Callao, 2022-2025), and alongside Via Viva Architecture (2024) in Argentina, receiving praise for his innovative approach. He completed a one-year workshop with Ernesto Ballesteros (2024), and his works are part of the collection of Argentine collector Esteban Tedesco. More recently, he held a solo exhibition at the artist residency in Siargao, Philippines (2025), where he collaborated for three months with Filipino sculptors. His experience in architecture, industrial design, and aerospace, combined with his work with artisans, fuels a meticulous process that merges traditional and contemporary techniques.

His experimental work during residency, created without his usual tools, reflects a human-centered approach. By learning new techniques from other visual artists, he enhances his versatility and solidifies his status as a contemporary artist as of June 28, 2025.
