Giorgio BARTOCCI

Giorgio BARTOCCI

Born in Jesi in 1984, Giorgio Bartocci lives and works in Milan. His career began early in the world of writing, painting walls and trains in his hometown. After studying graphic design and visual communication at ISIA Urbino, he developed a hybrid practice combining urban art, design, installation, and painting.

For over fifteen years, Bartocci has been a prominent figure on the Italian and international contemporary scene, creating large-scale murals, gallery exhibitions, and collaborations with institutions and brands. His work has been shown at MACRO Asilo in Rome, Museo del Presente in Cosenza, and at Aria Art Gallery in Florence, where he presented the immersive exhibition Everybody is You in 2020.

Bartocci’s approach is characterized by an organic, fluid aesthetic: liquid forms, metallic textures, and abstract silhouettes express social and human dynamics. His visual language establishes a dialogue between the individual and the collective, nature and architecture, the primitive and the contemporary.

In summer 2020, Giorgio Bartocci was invited to a residency at the Port Tonic Art Center. There he created Le Désir Unique, a monumental mural conceived specifically for the site. Set within the maritime and industrial landscape of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the work resonates with the history of the place and the creative energy of the residencies.
